Dedon Brixx is the first fully upholstered collection in the Dedon outdoor furniture range. Lorenza Bozzoli built it from rectangular modules that you arrange into your own island of seating, with backrests where you want them and open sides where you do not.

About the collection
Build your own outdoor sectional
Brixx works like a set of blocks. Plain modules come without a backrest in S, M and L. Sofa modules add a fixed backrest in the same three sizes, and two corner modules, left and right, turn the line around a corner. The two types sit together, so you can mix them in any layout you need.
Dedon designed Brixx for use from every side, a full 360 degrees. Put a backless module in the middle of a group and it becomes a bench, an ottoman or a spot to stretch out on. Add cushions and backrests and the same pieces turn into a sectional for a group of friends.
Look closely at the fabric and you see a diagonal groove across each module. Bozzoli made it by sewing two pieces of fabric onto a third beneath them and leaving a narrow gap between the two. The groove draws triangles across the rectangles, so a large arrangement reads as an abstract, geometric landscape.
You choose the upholstery from six Dedon fabric families: Caleo, Tucson, Gaia, Muse, Nube and Borneo. Every cushion and every cover can go in the wash. Put the covers back on while they are still damp and they dry without wrinkles. Dedon pairs Brixx with the woven Ahnda collection in its own settings.

The designer
Lorenza Bozzoli
Lorenza Bozzoli came to furniture from fashion, and her eye for detail shows in Brixx, Fedro and Porcini for Dedon. Her work has been shown at the Cooper-Hewitt in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan.
